Friends, how much do you think our head weighs?
On average, 4-5 kg. When we look at the screen of a laptop or smartphone, we bend our neck by an average of 45 degrees, increasing the load by 5 times! Because of this, most modern people develop the so-called “computer neck syndrome” (“text-neck” in English). Due to long-term stress on the cervical spine, the muscles of the middle of the back, neck, shoulders, pectoral muscles weaken and the upper back muscles tighten. Posture worsens and often leads to stooping and curvature of the spine, as well as laxity of the skin of the neck and, therefore, the appearance of a second chin.
Discomfort and pain in the neck is one of the most common problems among office workers and those who spend a lot of time in front of the computer or on the phone. Therefore, we are happy to share with you a set of simple exercises for the neck from Ihor Obukhovsky, a professional trainer and host of many Ukrainian reality shows. Exercises are easy to perform at home, in the office WITHOUT LEAVING your workplace, or anywhere you have free time.
Let’s be healthy!
